No sooner did my last projects, Foreplays and The Painted Casket, end than (as is most always the case) I landed another part in a wonderful play. I’ll be performing the role of Christine in a second year MFA Directing student’s production of Miss Julie at Columbia University April 9, 10, & 11. We’ve already started rehearsing, and I can tell it will be an intense and rewarding process. My director, Carin White, is in a class taught by Anne Bogart, so we’re doing a lot of physical work – so far Bikram Yoga and an old favorite of mine: Viewpoints! Rumor has it Ms. Bogart will even be attending the show so…eep, it better be good! Details to come.
PS – FullStop Collective had a highly successful fundraiser last night – great food, wine, and the musical stylings of Alexandra Bassett. Check out FullStop’s production of Hangman School for Girls by Lucy Gillespie, which opens next week. And Alexandra has a show at Abigail Cafe in Brooklyn this coming Thursday – be there or square!
